| PENILE GIRTH ENHANCEMENT SURGERY | |||||||
![]()
The girth of the penis refers to the circumference of the penis. Girth enhancement refers to a thickening of the girth of the penis, or an increase in penile circumference. In order to increase the girth of the penis, something must be added to it. A previous technique that used fat transfer (Free Fat Transfer) had many disadvantages, including lack of uniform fat distribution, secondary to uneven fat absorption; shrinkage, secondary to constant fat absorption and disappearance over time; and lumps, clumps and bumps on the shaft of the penis, secondary to fat sequestration and fat graft displacement during sexual activities. The best solution is a graft that can be attached in a flat position and stitched to the penile fascia to prevent it from moving during sexual activities.
Girth enhancement surgery can increase the circumference of the shaft of the penis from a 10% increase to a 30% increase over the existing pre-operative circumference size, depending on the number and size of the grafts used during this surgery. This
maximum degree of enlargement is not possible for everyone, due to
anatomical differences between individuals. The patient must have
realistic expectations when undergoing this surgery.
